I serve in vocations as educator, artist, and writer. My domains of professional expertise are in higher education and in the creative class. I am employed at Wisconsin Lutheran College, Milwaukee, WI, where I am a faculty member and an administrator.
My pedagogical and intellectual interests include: theories of creative thinking and time—tempo giusto, and concepts and applications of vocation. Artistic interests include: the representation of vernacular building, a habit of sketching, and the development of a Punch character as a type of vulnerable, aging artist. In 2019 I am reading all things Bonnard; in 2018 it was Cezanne. Personal interests include: jazz music and children's picture books.
